Circular Benches

In partnership with Madison Square Garden, I collaborated with a client to create circular benches that met their specifications. The project called for two distinct types of circular benches, as well as cylinder planters. I personally designed both the circle bench and the donut bench, which incorporated a unique feature enabling the bench to hold plants inside its circular structure.

Constraints:

• The individual pieces must fit on a 10’ x 5’ sheet of metal to be able to be cut on the CNC laser

• Must be a two piece construction, with the top being able to be separated from the base

• Must match the renders from the architect

• Ten day design window
